Here is another tour idea: The Vampire Diaries is a supernatural drama television series based on the book series of the same name. It aired from 2009 to 2017 about the small-town life of Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), a recently orphaned teenage girl who falls in love with vampire Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and his vampire brother Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder). While Mystic Falls was the backdrop onscreen, Covington was the real-life filming location, making the city a must-visit destination for fans of the series.
Start with a Mystic Falls Tour, directed by a group of beloved Vampire Stalkers. These are fan tours dreamed up by fans. It’s the number one cast-rated tour for the television series with exclusive access to some film locations granted by property owners.
After your tour, head to Mystic Grill for bites and cheers with a rooftop deck for music and sunsets. The television series inspired the owners to bring the onscreen restaurant to life. The menu incorporates hyper seasonal ingredients in favorite dishes, working with Mitcham Farm, CJ Orchards, and Mercier Orchards (N. Georgia).
