Rock out in October with free concerts on the Covington Square!

Cooler weather and free outdoor concerts beckon everyone to visit Covington this October! Join the Live at Lunch Fall Concert Series on the Square. Every Thursday from 12-1 pm local musicians will perform across blues, pop, classic rock, modern rock, and singer/songwriter genres.

Sit back and relax as guitars are strummed, banjos are plucked, and trumpets, keyboards, drums and more stir the feet to tapping and fingers to snapping.

Live at Lunch is a semiannual program presented every May and October by the Newton County Arts Association. It is one program of many that encourages youth and adults to take part in the arts, both as audience and as artists.

“I hope people feel more connected to our community and to how vital the arts are to our economy, as well as discover new local artists,” said Jodi Atkins, marketing director for the Arts Association.

Live at Lunch is a chill way to hang in the center of town between local dining and shopping.

Pre-Concert Meetup

Post-Concert

Now that the afternoon is jazzed up, dine in at some of Covington’s legacy restaurants. City Pharmacy introduces innovative riffs on farm-to-table menus, as does Social Goat Tavern. Mystic Grill is famously aligned to The Vampire Diaries series. Stop into Your Pie for pizza, and Scoops for ice cream to top off the musical afternoon.

Live at Lunch is presented by the Community Arts Association in Newton County, with Discover Covington, City of Covington, and supported by Piedmont Healthcare. Piedmont is offering free flu shots at a popup clinic at the first three Live at Lunch shows.
